This place was made of my dreams! I'm not big on sweets so I focused on the pizza, breads, suppli, etc. Their product is amazing!!! We had pizza with cheese and my favorite, pizza with just sauce and anchovy. It was absolute heaven. The crowds can be challenging and you need to know the system (order, get your slip, pay, use your slip to pick up) but once you get the dance down, it's easy. Don't miss this place!

Super busy during lunch time and calm right after, so come after. Pizzas are made in the back and transferred to the front where they are sold by weight (e.g. butcher shop). So the pizza is at room temperature, don't expect piping hot pizza.

Tried serval and the white Suppli (breaded rice balls with cheese in the middle) that were awesome, there is red ones too, have red ragu. The pizzas are all good but the best was for me was tomato with mozzarella. Simple and thin, it's nice!

There is two section, on the right is the bakery items and pizzas on the left. The pizza attendants are super cool guys that also speak English.

    Great spot for lunch!!

Due to the high reviews, my husband & I came to this place for some pizza & pastries.

To order, you'd come to the counter to let the workers know what you want. Then they'd give you a receipt. You'd then take the receipt to the cashier by the door to pay for your purchase.

My husband & I ordered 2 types of pizza & some pastries. When coming to the counter, make sure you know what you want. This isn't the place for you to expect good customer service. If you don't know what you want, they'll walk away & move on to the next person. They won't tell you what's in the pastries either, and the descriptions are not in English so order at your own risk.

As for the pizza, let me just say that if this place was one of the best places that serves pizza in town then Rome is in trouble. Either that, or the chef decided to be extra generous with the salt today. I took 2 bites of one of our pizza slices, and it felt like I was fed a spoonful of salt. I gave it another chance and took another bite.. I couldn't even finish that slice. I moved on to the next selection that we ordered. The other selection was also salty, but not as salty as my first choice since it had potato slices to even out the taste.

The overall experience at this establishment was unpleasant. Thank you, Antico Forno Roscioli, for the experience of chasing down your delicious pizza with guava juice.

On the street food tour. Pizza and beer. Not bad. I'd go back but full! Preference for Roman-style pizza satisfied: Square pieces of thin crust crunchiness with tangy tomato and a little buffalo mozzarella.

Antico Forno Roscioli has 5 stars for a reason. The food is excellent! I wanted one last highly recommended meal in Rome and Trip Advisor led me here.

Good sign: when there's a crowd outside--you know the food is going to be great!

We walked about 30 min from our stay in Flaminio to get here. Metro is an option but it was gorgeous out and what better way to work up an appetite. It was busy and the line was moving and everyone seemed to know what they wanted, so I quickly decided. Went with a slice of the zucchini pizza and a Classico suppli. Zucchini was so fresh and had a nice contrast against the mozzarella maintaining a fresh bite to it. Suppli was all I wanted it to be--crunchy, saucy, cheesy.

Both were delicious but I was craving more. It wasn't til I went near the bathroom area that I realized there was an entire other half of the resto serving hot dishes--yes!!! I wanted to order one of everything but I knew it would be too much on an already post breakfast tummy. So I went with:

Eggplant parmigiana-excellent, not salty, perfect sauce and cheese ratio

Stuffed tomato with potatoes- I couldn't pass up a beautifully roasted tomato stuffed with crispy rice and roasted potatoes on the side

Pasta with peas and mushrooms- delicious and can be ordered as a full plate

Overall, excellent food and so reasonably priced I can stuff my face here all day.
